seQRets Recover
The lifeboat · Works offline · One file forever

Let's get your secret back.

Shares + password → your secret. Recover sends nothing, stores nothing.
How it worksLess This page runs entirely in your browser. It doesn't collect, store, or transmit what you paste, type, or upload — you can verify this in your browser's Network tab. (Recover can't protect you from malware on your device; see the safety note below.)
Use a trusted device. Go offline, use a private window, disable extensions.
WhyLess Recover runs locally, but it can't see whether your device is clean. Malware, shady extensions, or keyloggers can read what you type regardless of what this page does. For real safety, use a device you trust, turn off Wi-Fi and unplug any Ethernet cable before entering your password, and open the page in a private / incognito window with extensions disabled.

Add shares or an inheritance plan

QR images, share files, or an inheritance-plan JSON. We auto-detect.
FormatsLess Drop in QR images from your Qards, share text files, or an encrypted inheritance-plan JSON file — we'll figure out which one you have. Shares look like seQRets|…|sha256:…; plans are JSON with salt and data fields.
Drop files here or click to browse Tap to choose files
Or paste share text
Point your phone camera at the Qard, tap the detected text, copy, paste here.
Walk me through itLess On your phone, open the camera app and point it at the QR on your Qard. When the text appears above the QR, tap it, choose Copy, then paste it here.

Enter your password

The one you used when the shares were created. Case- and space-sensitive.

I also have a keyfile (optional)
Second factor. Skip if you didn't use one.
What's a keyfileLess A keyfile is a second factor stored separately from your password. If your secret was created without one, skip this.
Drop keyfile here or click to browse Tap to choose a keyfile

Recover

Click below. Takes 10–30 seconds.
Why the waitLess The slow part is key derivation — it's deliberately expensive so a stolen share can't be brute-forced. 10–30 seconds on most computers is normal.
